Patron of the Arts was a fundraising initiative intended to bring awareness to Indian Classical Arts as well as raise funds to support the growth of institutions and educators in this realm. Babita created this concept of “Patron of the Arts” as a nod to the ancient Indian concept of a patron of the arts, who were kings and queens who supported creatives in ancient times. It was a clever and effective way to tie in the cultural heritage and the importance of supporting the arts, as well as equating donors to a royal which can be quite motivating for some. Babita spearheaded designing the branding, social media marketing, website landing page, and merchandise for the campaign. The campaign educated viewers on the history of regal patrons from ancient times, conveyed the positive impact donations can have on students, teachers, and the general public, as well as detailed the rich past and present of Indian Classical Arts globally.
A key component of the campaign was the Patron of the Arts merchandise that donors could purchase in order to flaunt their elevated title as a donor to the cause. Babita designed merchandise that aligned with the campaign's concept and aesthetic. These designs were sold on the campaign's website and at events associated with the campaign. Through her social media marketing strategy and design of visually striking and educational graphics she conveyed the campaign's message and crafted compelling captions that encouraged engagement and drove traffic to the campaign's website as well as encouraged the purchase of merchandise to raise funds. Overall Babita’s diverse skill set allowed her to create a visually compelling and cohesive campaign that effectively communicated a profound message and ultimately helped the campaign achieve its goals of raising funds, spreading awareness and encouraging the growth of Indian Classical Arts.
